Feathered wood shaft arrows can be a bit expensive so I wanted to protect my investment. I also live in florida where we have the florida state bird (i.e the cockroach) and these little snots just love to chow on natural feathers for some reason. I thought this case would help keep them off my arrows when stored in the garage.These cases are nice and rugged and four latches means they stay closed very well. The latches are also not permanently attached which makes them more rugged and conceivably replaceable if one should happen to break. Inside the case there are several "standoffs" that help keep the case from collapsing if something heavy got put on top of it. Even with the pillars in place, this case still "seems" flimsy. There is too much air space in between the pillars when the case is closed. I can press on the top & bottom & hear the pillars "click, clack" together.Granted, I'm sure this case was specifically designed to meet a certain price point, however, the thin fitting of the two handle halves, the thin latches and the thin "dollar store" hinges were all a disappointment. I would GLADLY pay more for a pillar style arrow case of the same quality as Plano's All Weather Bow & Gun Case Series with locking points at each hinge as opposed the two ineffective points at the corners.
