About Sportcraft:
The General Sportcraft Company was founded in 1926. In those times, most department stores did not carry sporting goods, so General Sportcraft helped pioneer the concept of "family-fun" departments within the store. Soon, the popularity of these departments spawned stand-alone sporting goods stores.
In the 1940s and 1950s, Sportcraft introduced new outdoor games to America, such as bocce, horseshoes, and volleyball. In time, Sportcraft's focus moved to indoors games like table tennis, billiards, foosball, and darts, now the company's most popular product lines. Today, more than 13 million customers a year purchase Sportcraft products.

Some are equal but none better. I recently replaced a mid-level board in my home with one of these and I am actually so excited about the improvement in game quality that I sat down to write a review. This board is awesome. I have owned quality boards in the past, and began playing again at the house about a year ago. I have been using a round-wire board for that time because that's the best one the local sports store had the day I went to get one, and it came with a nice backboard with a scoreboard. I knew I would upgrade the board at some point, but I should have done it much sooner. Bounce-outs were a constant annoyance while playing my brother in law, and often clearly decided the outcome of games. After several matches, there has not been one bounce out since I purchased this board! Triples have gone up at least 50%, I kid you not. I considered all the boards in the half a bill range, and this... It has lasted me a good while and the design of the wires is infinitely times better then the old wires that were just pressed into the board. With the old wires they pop out, bend, and cause a lot of dart bounce outs. With the new wire system it cuts down on all those things by a huge amount. 4 of 5 people found the following review helpful By B. "Dartmann" (Ft. Darts stick in nice and deep and after about 1,000 darts so far you probably see 20 holes which are easily corrected. If it's got Unicorn and PDC printed on it, you know it's gotta be good! |
