These are good socks but please note that the fabric content isn't shown in the product description, other than "nylon reinforced". They're not made of cotton anymore. Rather, they are acrylic. This might make a difference to those of you who are sensitive to acrylic. Started wearing these in high school (80's) cuz they were in style - had to use babysitting money to afford 'em!Twenty years later and 300 miles from home I still wear them and so does my best friend back home! It's not so much fashionable any more, but practical. These socks last for years, though I've had to darn a few toes, just normal wear and the the seam seperated. The cotton finish is amazingly soft and doesn't ever irritate my skin. Same with the elastic - it doesn't leave a bite mark like some socks can. For me, this is really important as I've had a back injury, multiple surgeries and permanent nerve damage in my legs. They can be really sensitive, so these are a blessing. The price here is excellent and in some areas (like where I live now) they're hard to find. Instead of buying them when we go home at holidays, I can have them sent right to my door, safely packaged and arriving fast. AND... still cheaper than the full retail I'd...
