The thick bottoms and woven top means you get plenty of cushion without your feet being overly warm. They fit snugly and don't get lose and slip like almost every other brand I have tried (size 8 shoe). The part that impresses me most is the durability. These socks hold up very well. I have had some for over 5 years and have yet to make a hole but I decided to buy another 10 pairs in case they ever stop making them.
