Unfortunately, I didn't try on the jacket until it was too late to return it. I've have it 9 months & haven't worn it for more than 30 seconds. The actual inside neck of the life jacket says it's good for chests up to 60". It is sold as a woman's jacket - so should be 60" bust, not just diameter. My bust is 53" and I had to move the buckle clips all the way to the end of the mesh straps to buckle up. The padded jacket itself isn't wide enough to comfortably fit around and meet in the middle. Unlike others I've seen, it has fabric all the way around the sides - not front & back panels with open sides (or mesh, or stretchy fabric). This means even though I bought a jacket that should be 7" bigger than I need, I end up with the two front panels (which are not flexible) gapping maybe 6" or so. In other words, the "front" panels actually start on the sides and end about the middle of my breasts with only the mesh strapping holding the life jacket... My daughter is only 10 years old; she cannot wear it because the neck opening is touching her neck on both sides.
