Like the other reviewer, I found it difficult at times to pluck hairs using the needle-like tip of the tool. The trick is to use the flat area of the tweezer, located just "before" the tips are tapered into points; from there you can grip the hair well enough to pluck it. It's enough of a hassle that I ordered a pair of Tweezerman's slanted-cut tweezers to do the "heavy lifting" plucking, and will use these for the precision work (that is, isolating the hair or splinter or bullet fragment.) Hinsch "AvidReader" (Columbia, SC USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Tweezerman Stainless Steel Ingrown Hair Splintertweeze (Health and Beauty) Can't believe I didn't check Amazon's price first. I paid nearly twice this price locally to get these, and I now have 3 pairs: 1 for the bathroom, 1 for my purse (chin hair emergencies can happen anytime, anywhere) and a spare pair in case the tips get bent (Tweezerman will sharpen and straighten tips for a very small fee).Bottom line: I've used these for several years and they are the absolute best for ingrown chin hairs (menopausal women know very well what I'm talking about) and essential for splinters. And 9 bucks is a great price for something so indispensable. I plan never to be without a pair within easy reach for the rest of my days, and I really don't say that about much. 28 of 28 people found the following review helpful By as stated below, the tweezers do not come with instructions. Thank goodness my education prepared me for the complicated task of using this tool... If you don't know how to use tweezers, you should probably stay away from this product. it is extremely sharp! |
