It has a nice thick consistency, without needing effort to make it workable. It doesn't have a strong smell, and what scent there is is neutral. It can be a little tricky to work through hair, as it tends to stick and settle in quickly. Overall it's pretty easy to work with, and is pretty forgiving if you use too much. The results from the Matte Separation Wax are fantastic. I have very thick, unruly hair so finding something that can hold it is a challenge. This stuff provides great hold without making hair crunchy. It can leave hair feeling a little oily and a touch sticky, but not by much. The best thing about this wax is that it doesn't dry out or harden. It provides a strong, flexible hold but won't fall apart or break up if you run your hands through it, even after a full day of work. Before I used American Crew Fiber but always wanted something better. This product offers the strong hold on my stubborn Asian hair. It is highly moldable throughout the day and does not smell at all. In fact, I like the smell. It only gets better, you only need to use a subtle amount. Be careful not to use too much or your hair will turn into a rock. In all, I love this wax!
