5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Upgrade, January 11, 2012
This review is from: Cane Creek 40 Series Traditional Headset (Misc.)
This headset was a nice upgrade to my stock VP-A73, a headset built for Cane Creek by another vendor. The original headset was built with unsealed bearings while this replacement is permanently sealed bearings. It is a traditional external cup style and fit my 1 1/8 inch steerer tube with a tapered crown race seat. Installation was not difficult but I had the benefit of a Park Tool Bearing Cup Press and Crown Race Setter. Without these tools, you run the risk of damaging the new components in the installation process. The Amazon price was more attractive than the local bike shop by far. Shipping was prompt and the product was received in perfect condition.
